Overview - ADVENTURE FLIGHT - SYDNEY & HUNTER VALLEY

Sydney Australia's premier city. Your flight departs from in and around Parramatta. You will enjoy the view of one of the world's most spectacular skylines.

The Sydney Harbour Bridge, Centrepoint Tower, The Olympic Stadium and The Blue Mountains, all surrounded by beautiful parks and gardens, tree lined suburbs and rolling countryside. It is a magnificent sight to take in as you soar grandly in our hot-air balloon.

Champagne Breakfast (optional at $30 pp)

The Champagne Breakfast is held within the historical surrounds of Lachlan's Restuarant, Old Government House. A perfect venue to celebrate your experience and get to know your fellow adventurers over a hearty and delicious English Breakfast. Champagne as tradition dictates celebrates your reunion with earth! Juices, tea and coffee also available.

Your Flight

Unlike any other form of flight, passengers are welcome to assist the pilot and crew inflate the balloon on the launch site.

It wil take about 20 minutes to prepare the balloon and once inflated the pilot will invite you onboard and ensure that you are familiar with your landing position and then explain a little about how he will control the balloon throughout the flight. Flight duration is approxiamately 60 mins.

Airborne

Once in the air your job is simple, relax and enjoy the view. The pilot will point out places of interest whilst explaining in greater detail the art of flying a hot air balloon.

The way the pilot utilises the different winds to steer the balloon to its destination is always interesting to watch and understand. Feel free to ask as many questions as you want.

Touch Down

Upon landing we spend about 20 minutes packing the equipment away. This sounds like a tedious exercise, and with many balloon companies it is, but after many years of trial and error we have developed efficient methods of making it quite good fun.

During the drive back to the meeting point you will have a few minutes to come back down to earth and think about the lovely breakfast you are about to enjoy.

Meeting Location

Our meeting site is at Old Government House, located within the grounds of Parramatta Park. Entry is through the main gates located on the corner of Pitt & Macquarie Streets, Parramatta. Whilst the Park is utilised as a launch site for the balloon, only the wind direction and speed will dictate where we launch from on your flight day.

Meeting Time

During the weather check, the afternoon prior to your flight, the pilot will inform you of the exact meeting time. It is important to be punctual.

Weather

As ballooning is a weather dependent activity, passengers are requested to contact our office the afternoon prior to their adventure for the meeting time. On the morning of the flight passengers are required to call in for a final weather check. In the event of your flight being cancelled simply telephone our office to reschedule. Flight tickets are valid for 12 months.
